LUKOIL, whose entire range of fuels complies with Turkish Standards, implements four different quality programs focused on quality assurance in order to offer high-quality products to its customers and thus provides consumers with the guarantee of “quality fuel”:
FUEL INSPECTION ASSURANCE
Through the procedures it applies, LUKOIL carries out product quality control in accredited laboratories at every stage from the refinery outlet until the fuel reaches the customer’s vehicle. This practice makes it impossible for non-standard products to be sold.
Within the framework of the Fuel Quality Control Program, LUKOIL Fuel Inspection Teams periodically visit stations with Fuel Inspection Vehicles configured as mobile laboratories, collect fuel samples from time to time, and check LUKOIL fuel quality at all stations. Thanks to these tests, it is determined whether the fuel taken from station tanks complies with LUKOIL standards and quality.
PREMIUM ADDITIVE ASSURANCE
One of the main factors determining the quality of fuel is the additives used. These additives can be defined as chemical substances produced to impart various properties to the fuel and added into the fuel in specific proportions.
Placing great importance on the use and quality of additives, LUKOIL uses the most advanced additives produced worldwide in all types of fuel. Before LUKOIL fuels are taken from the refinery and offered to consumers, they are enriched with top-quality additives at filling terminals.
UNDERGROUND FUEL TANK CLEANLINESS ASSURANCE
The underground tanks used to store LUKOIL fuels at all LUKOIL stations are regularly cleaned using the newest and most advanced tank cleaning method developed in this field, with the help of special equipment.
Thanks to this equipment, tank cleaning is carried out in the most effective, quickest and safest way, and even under perfect tank conditions, any gelling, sediment or invisible formations that may occur are removed without damaging the fuel and without taking the tank out of service. In this way, it is ensured that superior-quality LUKOIL fuels reach the pumps perfectly clean. The LUKOIL Tank Cleaning Vehicle visits each station at least once a year. In addition, the waste removed is collected and disposed of by special waste collection tankers in order to protect the environment.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CERTIFICATES
All of LUKOIL’s fuel storage facilities are certified under the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System. LUKOIL takes all necessary measures to protect the quality of its products and keeps this system under control through the relevant quality management system.
